Pinterest Has Something For Everyone, Including RV’ers!

 

If you aren’t on Pinterest yet, you just might want to be. No, it’s not just for women, it’s not just recipes and home decor ideas (but man oh man are there some good ones!), and it’s not just the wasteful killing of time online… Though you definitely can lose yourself. In a nutshell, Pinterest can be explained as your “virtual corkboard”. Imagine if you had a corkboard where you pinned all the pictures of things that inspired you, the jokes that make you giggle, the cocktails you want to try, the household items you want to have, the recipes you’d like to cook for your family, the clothes you’d love to wear next season, the DIY projects you’d like to try, the RV travel destinations of your dreams, and on and on and on…  That would be one giant, messy, corkboard. What Pinterest does for you, is it allows you to “pin” each and every thing that you come across online and wish to save, to it’s own categorized board. You create the board title (i.e., “Healthy Recipes”) and then you can conveniently save every healthy recipe that you’d like to hang onto into that particular category and so on and so forth. You can see your friends’ pins, and save them as your own, or you can browse through thousands and thousands of pins from other users. You can find the most ingenious tips and tricks that may apply to many different areas of your life. There are so many wonderful RV space saving tips, that you’ll be soaking up ideas like a sponge. In fact, there are tips for just about every aspect of RVing that you can think of, from where to go, how to pack, meals to make, full time rv’ing tips, maintenance tips, and SO much more. It can really be a great resource in sharing ideas and knowledge with people who have the same interests as you. Pinterest is not like other social media sites, in that there are no status postings, no chatting with pals, no writing in 140 characters what it is that you have to say – in fact there is no reading at all. It is a 100% visual experience, and something about that is so enticing.  It’s simply the sharing of ideas, aspirations, and inspirations. Pretty cool.
